Does Amazon accept crypto?
No, Amazon does not accept crypto. As of 30 October 2026, Amazon takes no Bitcoin, USDT or other coin at checkout, and has announced no plan to. MSRP Crypto's check found only 1 of 14 major retailers that does: Newegg. On Amazon, the working route is a gift card bought with crypto, for example at Coinsbee.
Does Amazon accept Bitcoin or other crypto in 2026?
No. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said in a CNBC interview that Amazon was not close to adding crypto as a payment method. Decrypt reported the interview around 2022, and we found no later change.
On 13 June 2025, the Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon and Walmart were exploring their own stablecoins. Neither company confirmed the report. A stablecoin study is not a payment option, and we found no launch as of 30 October 2026.
According to MSRP Crypto's check of 14 major retailers on 30 October 2026, only Newegg (via BitPay) accepts crypto at checkout. Ten do not, Amazon included. Three could not be confirmed: B&H Photo, Microsoft/Xbox Store and Overstock/Beyond.

How do you pay on Amazon with a gift card bought with crypto?
This route works today, within the seller's limits.
Pick the right Amazon store
Choose the gift card for the Amazon country store where you shop. Gift card sellers list cards by country.
Pay with crypto
Pay the seller in a coin it lists. Coinsbee advertises more than 200 coins, including USDT, USDC, BTC, SOL, LTC and ETH. CoinGate lists more than 70.
Redeem the code
The card is digital. Add the code to your Amazon account, then check out as usual.
Stay under the ID limits
At Coinsbee, orders above €1,000, or above €10,000 in total, need identity verification through Sumsub.
Is Amazon the right place to buy an iPhone or a PS5 with crypto?
It works for shoppers who already use Amazon and stay under the gift card limits. The route is weaker for high-value devices. A MacBook Pro 14-inch (M5 Pro) at $2,499 is far above Coinsbee's €1,000 per-order limit without ID.
It is also weaker outside the US. A gift card only helps if the Amazon store that sells the device delivers to you. For new Apple, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo devices delivered abroad, a store that takes crypto directly removes the gift card step.
Will Amazon accept crypto in the future?
There is no announced plan as of 30 October 2026. The only public signal is the June 2025 report about a possible Amazon stablecoin, which Amazon did not confirm. Purse.io, the best-known workaround, closed in 2020. Until Amazon announces a change, gift cards remain the only crypto route on Amazon.
How does MSRP Crypto compare with Amazon for crypto buyers?
MSRP Crypto sells new, factory-sealed Apple, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo products at the manufacturer's US list price (MSRP), paid in crypto, with free worldwide shipping and import duties included. We are an independent store, not affiliated with Apple, Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo.
We take crypto directly, so there is no gift card step. Prices are the manufacturer's US list price on 30 October 2026. A PlayStation 5 Pro costs $899, a Nintendo Switch 2 $499.99 and AirPods Pro 3 $249. You pay in BTC, USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), USDC (ERC-20), ETH, SOL, LTC.
Send the exact amount shown at checkout to the address shown, on the right network. We check the payment on the blockchain, then order your device and email the tracking number. We ask for an email and a shipping address only: no ID, no account.
Amazon sells far more products than we do. If you need something other than Apple devices and game consoles, a gift card is the better route.
