How to buy an iPhone with crypto, step by step

These steps follow the checkout at MSRP Crypto. Steps 1, 3 and 6 apply to any crypto store.

  1. Check that your carrier supports eSIM

Apple's specs say the US iPhone 17, 17e, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are not compatible with physical SIM cards. Ask your carrier if it offers eSIM for iPhone. Apple sells the iPhone 18 Pro as eSIM only in 12 markets, including Canada, Japan, Mexico and the UAE.

  2. Choose the model and the storage

Prices are Apple's US prices: the iPhone 17e from $699, the iPhone 17 from $929, the iPhone 18 Pro from $1,199. Every iPhone we sell is unlocked.

  3. Choose a coin and a network

USDT and USDC count 1 for $1. BTC, ETH, SOL and LTC are converted at the spot rate. USDT works on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20); USDC on Ethereum only.

  4. Add the iPhone to your cart and enter your details

Enter an email, your name and a shipping address. There is no account to create and no ID to upload. The total shows shipping as free and import duties as included.

  5. Read the exact amount and the address

The checkout shows a QR code, the exact amount and the address, each with a Copy button. The amount is unique to your order and is held for 30 minutes.

  6. Send the payment in one transaction

Send the exact amount shown at checkout to the address shown, on the right network. From an exchange, check that the amount you receive equals the amount shown, after the withdrawal fee.

  7. Confirm and save your order details

Click "I've sent the payment". You can paste the transaction ID to speed up the check. Save the order reference (ORD-…) and the 16-digit order access code.

  8. Follow the order

On Track an order, the status moves from "Payment being verified" to "Paid, ordered from our supplier", then to "Shipped". We email the tracking number once the iPhone ships.

  9. Activate the iPhone with eSIM

At first start, add your plan as an eSIM. Your carrier can activate it directly, give you a QR code, or let you transfer it from your old iPhone. Apple's "Set up eSIM on iPhone" page lists the options.

Which coin should you use for an iPhone?

Every coin works. The difference is whether the value moves while you pay, and which coin pays the network fee.

Can I buy an iPhone with crypto from Apple itself?

No. Apple's payment page for US accounts lists cards, Apple Pay, Apple Cash, Apple Card, PayPal and the account balance. Crypto is not on it. The detail is on Does Apple accept Bitcoin?.

The indirect routes have limits. A US Apple gift card bought with crypto works only with a US Apple account. Newegg's BitPay option asks for ID above $3,000 and works on the desktop site only. All options are compared on Where to buy electronics with crypto.

How long does it take?

You have 30 minutes to send the payment. After that, the time depends on the network and on the courier. We check the payment on the blockchain, then order your device and email the tracking number once it ships. We do not promise a delivery date, because it depends on your country and the courier.
