Is Apple warranty valid worldwide?
Not for every product. As of 30 October 2026, Apple's US warranty says Apple may restrict iPhone and iPad service to the country where the device was first sold. The US Mac warranty has no such clause. MSRP Crypto sells US devices, so check this before you buy an iPhone or iPad for use abroad.
What does Apple's US warranty say about other countries?
Apple's limited warranty comes in separate documents. We read the US versions on 30 October 2026.

What does "may restrict" mean for a US iPhone used abroad?
It gives Apple the right to limit warranty service outside the US. It does not say that Apple always refuses. But you cannot count on in-country service either.
Plan for the strict case. A warranty repair may need to happen in the US, or through options Apple offers in your country. Apple may also charge shipping when it cannot repair the phone where you are. The same clause covers the iPad.
The rest of the phone is not affected. A US iPhone works abroad with any carrier that supports eSIM. See Does a US iPhone work abroad?.
Is the Mac warranty valid outside the US?
The US Mac warranty has no explicit clause that ties service to the country of purchase. Among the US Apple warranties we read, the Mac's is the least restrictive abroad.
Two limits remain. Service depends on the options available in the country where you ask for it. And if the Mac travels for service, you follow the import and export rules and pay any duties and taxes. Our Mac range is on Buy a MacBook with crypto.
What about consoles?
Nintendo's wording is stricter than Apple's. Its regional FAQ says the Switch 2 limited warranty applies only in the country or region where the console was meant to be sold. A US Switch 2 is covered in the US region.

Should I buy a US Apple device, then?
It depends on how much in-country warranty service matters to you.

Questions about Apple warranty abroad
Does a US iPhone have an international warranty?
Not by default. Apple's US iPhone warranty says Apple may restrict service to the country where the phone was first sold. Service elsewhere depends on the options in that country.
Can Apple refuse a warranty repair on a US iPhone in Europe?
The US warranty allows Apple to restrict service to the US. Whether a European Apple service point accepts the repair is Apple's decision.
Is the MacBook warranty international?
The US Mac warranty has no explicit country restriction. Service is still limited to the options available in the country where you ask for it.
Is AppleCare+ valid worldwide?
We could not verify it. Apple's AppleCare+ terms could not be read on 30 October 2026, so we make no claim. AppleCare+ is not in our catalogue.
Does opening the box affect my return?
Yes. Returns within 14 days need the factory seal intact. After opening, defects go through the manufacturer's warranty.
